Justice court has jurisdiction in all civil cases involving amounts of $2500.00 or less. The Justice Court Department manages traffic tickets issued by the State Highway Patrol and the Pike County Sheriff's Department. The Public Service Commission, Mississippi Department of Transportation, and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries tickets are resolved in this court, as well. Justice court hears all matters from D.U.I.'s to misdemeanor criminal cases. Our Judges also perform wedding ceremonies.
