To view scanned images through the internet, you must have an Imaging program that is capable of viewing .tif files. Windows 95, 98, ME and 2000 Operating Systems all come with an Imaging program that is able to read this format. If you are running one of these operating systems, follow the steps below to create the association. | |
Step 1: First click on the "go" button for the related image. A download box will show, asking "What would you like to do with this file?". Choose to "Open this file from its current location", click OK. |

is checked. |

Step 3 : This step may or may not be needed, depending on the current settings of your web browser. Now you should be able to view the image. Eventhough you can currently view the image, there is still one more step to complete. Close the program that is showing the image. Now, click on the "go" button again to view the image. A download box should display again asking "What would you like to do with this file?". Choose "Open this file from the current location". At the bottom of the download box, un-check the "Always ask before opening this type of file". Click OK. From now on, when the "go" button is pushed, you should automatically download the image into the viewing program. |
